Society Pilates Studio – Membership Terms & Conditions Last updated: 11.08.2025 These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern the purchase, use, and management of memberships, class packs, and bookings at Society Pilates Studio (“the Studio”, “we”, “us”). By purchasing a membership, booking a class, or attending any session at the Studio, you agree to be bound by these Terms, as well as our Liability Waiver. 1. Membership Use Memberships and class packs are for personal use only and are non-transferable. You must be 16 years or older to hold a membership, or have parental/guardian consent if under 16. Memberships may not be shared, sold, or gifted to another person. 2. Bookings & Attendance All classes must be booked in advance via our online booking system or app. Spaces are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Late arrivals may not be admitted to avoid disruption to other participants. Society Pilates Studio reserves the right to refuse entry if you arrive more than 5 minutes after the class has started. 3. Cancellations & No-Shows Cancellations must be made at least 36 hours before the scheduled class start time to avoid losing the session. “No-shows” or late cancellations will result in the session being deducted from your membership or pack. Unlimited membership holders who repeatedly no-show or late-cancel may have booking privileges temporarily suspended. 4. Expiry & Refunds All memberships and class packs have a set validity period starting from the date of purchase or first booking, as stated at the time of purchase. Expired sessions are not refundable and cannot be extended, unless otherwise stated in writing by Society Pilates Studio. All purchases are final and non-refundable, except as required by consumer law. 5. Health & Safety You confirm that you are in good physical condition and have no medical reason or injury that would prevent you from safely participating in Pilates, yoga, or related activities. If you have any concerns about your health, consult a physician before starting or continuing participation. You agree to follow all instructor guidance and safety instructions during classes. You acknowledge and accept that physical exercise carries inherent risks, and you participate at your own risk. 6. Liability Waiver By attending classes, you release Society Pilates Studio, its owners, instructors, staff, contractors, and affiliates from any liability for injury, illness, loss, or damage sustained during or after participation, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Liability Waiver & Release Form By booking and participating in any class, session, or activity with Society you agree to the following terms: Acknowledgement of Risk I understand that participation in Pilates, yoga, and related fitness activities involves physical movement and exercise, which may result in personal injury, illness, or other health issues. I voluntarily choose to participate, acknowledging that I am solely responsible for my own health and safety. Assumption of Responsibility I confirm that I am in good physical condition and do not suffer from any condition that would prevent or limit my participation. I understand it is my responsibility to consult a physician before starting any exercise program. Release of Liability I hereby release, waive, and discharge Society, its owners, instructors, contractors, employees, and affiliates from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action related to any loss, damage, injury, illness, or death that may occur during or after participation in classes or use of studio facilities, whether caused by negligence or otherwise, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Indemnification I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Society and all associated parties from any claims, damages, costs, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from my participation or from my failure to comply with these terms. Medical Emergencies In the event of an injury or medical emergency, I authorise Society to seek and obtain emergency medical treatment on my behalf if necessary. I understand that I am responsible for any costs incurred as a result. Personal Belongings I understand that Society is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to any personal property brought to the premises. Photography & Media Release (Optional) I consent to the use of photographs, video recordings, and other media taken during classes for promotional purposes, without compensation. (If you do not consent, please notify the instructor before class.) Binding Agreement This agreement is binding upon me, my heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns, and is governed by the laws of the United Kingdom You are solely responsible for your personal belongings; Society Pilates Studio is not liable for any theft, loss, or damage. 7. Payment & Billing Payment must be made in full at the time of purchase unless otherwise agreed in writing. For recurring memberships, payment will be automatically processed on the agreed billing date. If payment fails, access to classes may be suspended until the balance is cleared. 8. Studio Etiquette Arrive on time and be respectful to instructors and other members. Mobile phones must be on silent mode and not used during class unless in an emergency. Wear appropriate attire for movement-based exercise. Society Pilates Studio reserves the right to refuse service to anyone behaving inappropriately or in a way that endangers others. 9. Changes to Schedule & Instructors Society Pilates Studio reserves the right to change class schedules, instructors, or formats at any time. If a class is cancelled by the Studio, you will not be charged for that session. 10. Policy Updates We may update these Terms from time to time, with notice provided via email, SMS, or website update.
