TERMS & CONDITIONS
By booking or attending any class at Society Pilates, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
2.1 Bookings and Membership
Memberships and class packs are for personal use only and are non-transferable
You must be 16 years or older to hold a membership, or have parental/guardian consent if under 16
Memberships may not be shared, sold, or gifted to another person
Memberships are subject to the duration stated at the time of purchase. Where a membership is a monthly subscription,
payments will be taken automatically each month for the full membership term.
By purchasing a membership, you agree to the stated term and authorise Society Pilates to take the monthly payments
automatically. Memberships cannot be cancelled before the end of the agreed membership term. If early cancellation is
permitted by Society Pilates, a cancellation fee of 50% of your subscription price will apply.
By purchasing a membership, you agree to these terms.
2.2 Health and Safety
You confirm that you are in good physical condition and have no medical reason or injury that would prevent you from
safely participating in Pilates
If you have any concerns about your health, consult a physician before starting or continuing participation
You agree to follow all instructor guidance and safety instructions during classes
You acknowledge and accept that physical exercise carries inherent risks, and you participate at your own risk
2.3 Studio Behaviour
Please arrive at least 5 minutes before your scheduled class
Late arrivals may not be permitted for safety reasons
Respect instructors, fellow clients, and studio equipment at all times
2.4 Right to Refuse Service
Society Pilates reserves the right to refuse service or terminate memberships if behaviour is unsafe, abusive, or in breach of these Terms & Conditions.
2.5 Changes to Schedule & Instructors
Society Pilates reserves the right to change class schedules, instructors, or formats at any time
If a class is cancelled by the Studio, you will not be charged for that session
2.6 Policy Updates
We may update these Terms from time to time, with notice provided via email, SMS or website update
Continued use of our membership after changes are made constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Studio Rules
Minimum age: 16+
Grip socks are required for hygiene and safety
No food on the reformer machine
Respect all studio equipment
Follow instructor guidance at all times
If you feel unwell or experience pain, stop immediately and inform the instructor
After every session, the reformer beds must be wiped down with the antibacterial sprays provided in your basket
Mobile phones must be on silent mode and not used during class unless in an emergency
Wear appropriate attire for movement-based exercise
Society Pilates reserves the right to refuse service to anyone behaving inappropriately or in a way that endangers others
Liability Waiver
By attending classes, you release Society Pilates, its owners, instructors, staff, contractors and affiliates from any liability
for injury, illness, loss or damage sustained during or after participation, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
By booking and participating in any class or activity with Society Pilates, you agree to the following terms:
Acknowledgment of risk:
I understand that participation in Reformer Pilates involves physical movement and exercise, which may result in
personal injury, illness or other health issues. I voluntarily choose to participate, acknowledging that I am solely
responsible for my own health and safety.
Assumption of Responsibility:
I confirm that I am in good physical condition and do not suffer from any condition that would prevent or limit my
participation. I understand that it is my responsibility to consult a doctor or medical professional before starting any exercise program.
Release of Liability:
I hereby release, waive, and discharge Society, its owners, instructors, contractors, employees, and affiliates from any
and all liability claims, demands, actions or causes of action related to any loss, damage, injury, illness or death that may
occur during or after participation in classes or use of studio facilities, whether caused by negligence or otherwise, to the
fullest extent permitted by law.
Indemnification:
I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Society and all associated parties from any claims, damages, costs or expenses
(including legal fees) arising from my participation or from my failure to comply with these terms.
Medical Emergencies:
In the event of an injury or medical emergency, I authorise Society to seek and obtain emergency medical treatment on
my behalf if necessary. I understand that I am responsible for any costs incurred as a result.
Personal Belongings:
I understand that Society is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to any personal property brought to the premises.
Photography & Media Release (Optional):
I consent to the use of photographs, video recordings, and other media taken during classes for promotional purposes,
without compensation. (If you do not consent, please notify the instructor before class).
Binding Agreement
This agreement is binding upon me, my heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns, and is governed by the laws of the
United Kingdom.
You are solely responsible for your personal belongings; Society Pilates Studio is not liable for any theft, loss or
damage.
